PURITY OF heart is the prerequisite for saintliness, to which we are all called (Matt. 5:8). The heart is not simply the seat for our emotions. Contained within it is the nous, an ontological receptor finely attuned to the divine, known both by early Greek philosophers and the Holy Fathers of the Church. Matushka Mary Naumenko will share passages from her newly published book regarding the nous and the transformation of the protagonist in Dostoevsky's short story, Dream of a Ridiculous Man.
Holy Trinity Publications will exhibit our liturgical publications to attendees of the Annual Meeting of the North American Academy of Liturgy.
