Nicolae Roddy is a professor of Old Testament at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and serves as a co-director for the Bethsaida Excavations Project in Israel. He holds an M.A. in Orthodox Theology from St. Vladimir's Seminary and completed his doctoral studies in 1999 at the University of Iowa. Roddy is the author of The Romanian Version of the Testament of Abraham: Text, Translation, and Cultural Context (Atlanta, GA: Society of Biblical Literature, 2001), as well as numerous scholarly and popular articles. Roddy regularly delivers scholarly presentations throughout the country and has also lectured in Romania, Israel, Berlin, and Rome. Of Romanian heritage, Roddy is a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Omaha, Nebraska. He and his wife Michelle are raising three children: Aurelia, Eli, and Alexandru.
